Emergency Medical Technician Training Course
This EMT program is an entry level course of 160+ hours that will prepare students for participation in pre-hospital patient care. EMT’s are the first line of treatment providing care that is critical to patient survival. The EMT course provides instruction in life support skills including assessment of patient condition, airway management, treatment of bleeding control, shock recognition, and more. The program is a combination of classroom instruction and 10 hours of clinical observation.
The final step in the program is completion of the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) certification exam. The examination fee of $125 is separate from the tuition and is paid at the time of the exam.
You must be 16 years of age to become certified as an EMT in the State of Connecticut.

Multiple class times available
- Accelerated. Mondays and Wednesdays from 8 am to 4pm and Fridays from 8 am to 12 noon.
- Part Time. Mondays and Wednesdays 6 pm to 10 pm and every other Saturday.
- Saturday only. Every Saturday 8 am to 4 pm.
- Sundays only. Every Sunday for 16 weeks from 8 am to 4 pm.
The curriculum required for this class will be AAOS 11th Edition by Jones and Bartlett publishing and Anatomy and Physiology for the Prehospital Provider second edition.
A non-refundable 50% deposit is required to reserve a seat in this class.
