This 8-week EMR program is an entry level course of over 80 hours that will prepare students for participation in pre-hospital patient care. The EMR course is designed for anyone interested in learning more about the emergency response system and in being a first responder. The EMR is usually the first trained individual who arrives at the scene of an emergency.
If you are an out of state student, be sure to check the regulations for your particular state regarding becoming an EMT, if online classes are accepted in your state, and if your state accepts National Registry of EMT reciprocity from CT. CPR Training Professionals does NOT offer refunds or credits for any of our online classes, so be sure that you are registering for a class that will meet your goals in the state you live.
Students are required to complete 24 hours of skill labs. Labs are in 4 hour blocks and students may not complete more than 4 hours per day. – These skill lab times may change based on student enrollment. Weekly lab requirements vary by length of class. EMR students must do 1 four hour lab per week until their course is complete. We will delay the start of labs based on the length of EMR class.
The following days and times are current labs, but are subject to change:
Mondays 6pm to 10pm
Thursdays 8am to 12pm
Saturdays 8am to 12pm
Our skill labs are groups of not more than 4 students for each of the times noted above.
Our online orientation requires the ability to live stream with our moderator either by webcam with microphone, or call in by phone with video access.
