Initial EMR At Home Online- $1100

Our At Home EMT class is an online EMT course approved by the State of CT that will qualify successful candidates to take the National Registry of EMT certification exams.   This online course requires students to attend skill lab instruction via Zoom Meeting for 1 four hour lab per week for a total of 28 hours of labs. Access and Materials are issued after orientation.

 This 8-week EMR program is an entry level course of over 80 hours that will prepare students for participation in pre-hospital patient care. The EMR course is designed for anyone  interested in learning more about the emergency response system and in being a first responder.  The EMR is usually the first trained individual who arrives at the scene of an emergency.  

  If you are an out of state student, be sure to check the regulations for your particular state regarding becoming an EMT, if online classes are accepted in your state, and if your state accepts National Registry of EMT reciprocity from CT. CPR Training Professionals does NOT offer refunds or credits for any of our online classes, so be sure that you are registering for a class that will meet your goals in the state you live.

1. Once you register, you will receive an email inviting you to our online orientation. Orientations are on Thursdays and Fridays at 10am ( all subject to change) — Our online orientation requires the ability to live stream with our moderator, either by webcam with microphone, or call in by phone with video access.
2. Once you complete the orientation, you have started your class and assignments will be due from that point.
3. Students will have assignments due each week.
4. During registration you will choose the option to have your lab materials shipped, or pick them up in our office in South Windsor, CT. We will arrange for you to have your materials prior to your first skill lab you schedule.
5. You will take your final practical and written exams at our Training Center. You will return the box of supplies with you at that time.
6. Students are required to complete skill labs of 4 hours weekly to a total of 24 hours for the course.

A skill lab box will be loaned to the student that will contain all the needed equipment for learning labs remotely, after orientation but before your first skill. Students are required to attend four hour lab per week for a total of not less than 28 hours. Skill labs are available, first come first served on the following days and times (always subject to change):

Tuesdays:  6pm to 10pm

Wednesdays: 8am to 12pm

Thursdays: 6pm to 10pm

Saturdays: 8am to 12pm

1. Student forms ( should be completed prior to orientation meeting)
2. Review grading and student expectations  
3. Enroll in the online course
4. Review syllabus and milestones
5. Review course requirements, NIMS, Communications etc.
6. Review the functionality of the program
7. Students will be taught how to sign up for skill labs.
8. Students must come to our facility not less than 4 hours per week to complete psychomotor lab requirements.

1. A computer for online lectures and assignments
2. An internet speed capable of streaming video content.
3. Watch – digital type or has a second hand. (any watch that must be “woken up” is not acceptable)
4. Small spiral bound notepad

• Online digital access to Jones and Bartlett AAOS EMR 6th Edition
• Digital Copy of AAOS EMR 6th Edition (paper text can be purchased for an additional fee)
• Access to lectures and online activities and assignments
• American Heart Association BLS CPR certification
• American Heart Association Blood Borne Pathogens certification
• Blood Pressure cuff and stethoscope
• Access to National Testing preparation program

1. Complete and Pass a State Approved Initial EMR class.
2. Complete and Pass the National Registry EMR cognitive exam.
3. Complete and Pass the National Registry/State Pscyhomotor exam.
4. These National Tests are completed after the EMR class is passed and have separate fees.
